Each class starts with:
- An opening prayer
- 5 – 10 minutes devoted to: “What are we celebrating today?” Catching up, sharing good news, or talking about issues bothering you (like a mini class meeting).
- Homework/Projects - Turn in as the first thing you do.
- Complete starter activity if assigned.
Enrichment
- Fridays – Afternoon
- Student Choice
Bathroom visits
- Go before school starts, at lunch
- If necessary, ask for permission to go in between classes.
- Emergency - Leave class only when absolutely necessary (one person at a time)
- Get a quick drink when switching class or bring water bottles on warm days.
Pencil Sharpener
- Only used before class begins, otherwise borrow a pen/pencil (quietly).
Library visits
- Mondays during Study Hall
Study Hall Procedures

Free Time Choices
- Work on other assignments.
- Read quietly.
- Study for tests.
Inappropriate time to talk (Respect for Others)
- When someone else is speaking.
- When it may disrupt the class or people working.

- Tests – larger, cover more material
- Exams – Cover entire semester
- Oral Presentations
- Written Reports
- Exit Cards – not graded
- Projects (some are menu based).
- * Note: you’ll have a grading scale or rubric for each project or writing assignment.

- Gym/Cafeteria – Out into parking lot
- Portable – Soccer field

- Look for safe zones in each classroom (Inside or outside threat?)

- Make sure the area around your desk is clean/neat.
- 1st Bell - head to locker.
- 2nd bell for dismissal, head to car rider or bus line.
